The goals that are achieved with this technology do not vary substantially from the goals of the cleaning and
washing technology for turbine oil systems. The difference is that the chemical cleaning process is performed and
purity class criteria when washing are more stringent.
- Description of Pipeline Chemical Cleaning Technology:
| The chemical cleaning process enables to remove steel scale, atmospheric corrosion products
and loose mechanical contaminants from inner surfaces of the system and secures these surfaces against
secondary corrosion for 2-4 weeks, depending on weather conditions (humidity, temperature fluctuations).
Chemical cleaning is done with

| a by-pass using a circulating pumps and an
auxiliary system in accordance with the Ecol technology and is comprised of the following processes: |
1.1. Technology for carbon steel and stainless steel pipelines:
- Degreasing
- Patching
- Passivation
A criterion for accepting the purity of pipelines' inner surfaces after chemical cleaning will be the BE or Sa
3 surface cleanliness class acc. to DIN 556928 part 4 (no contaminants that can loosen, possible discolouration
from the passivation process).
- Description of Pipeline Oil flushing Technology:
The oilfushing of pre-cleaned pipelines is done with flushing oil with low viscosity (max. VG 32 cSt)
compatible with the ultimate oil.
| The same provisional (steel) connections are
used. Pumps, tanks and ?3 ? 200 filters for oil washing are applied instead of pumps and tank for chemical cleaning.
Flushing oil is pumped through individual pipelines and its cleanliness class and flow rate (speed) are
continually monitored.

To ensure turbulent flow conditions, oil speed in specific pipelines is not lower than 3 - 6 m/s.
The washing process is completed when the cleanliness class acc. to NAS 1638 is obtained:
- 4 - 5 for power hydraulic systems (corresponds to 13/10-14/11 acc. to PN-ISO 4406)
- 5 - 6 for oil lubrication systems (corresponds to 14/11-15/12 acc. to PN-ISO 4406)
After flushing, wash oil is emptied from the system and flooded with operation oil by a filtering unit.
